Grandparent visitation

Grandparents and grandchildren generally have a very special and unique relationship. The attorneys at Johnson Cook Abbott & Ahrens, PLLC, understand that sometimes a breakdown in the relationship between a parent and child can affect the bond that a grandparent has with a grandchild. Additionally, there are circumstances in which the parents are justified in their decision to end or disallow a relationship between grandparents and grandchildren. Kentucky law allows grandparents to seek court ordered visitation with their grandchildren. If you feel that you are being denied visitation that would otherwise be in the best interests of your grandchildren or if you have been served with a petition for grandparent visitation rights and you do not feel that it is in the best interest of your child to have visitation, contact us.
