JULIE A. JOHNSON Julie A. Johnson is a Louisville native. She is a 1986 graduate of Sacred Heart Academy, a 1990 magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Centre College, and a 1994 graduate of the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law. Ms. Johnson attended law school on a full academic scholarship. She was a contributor to the Journal of Law and Education and the Journal of Family Law and was the Alumni Editor of the Brandeis Brief Magazine. Ms. Johnson also was on the Moot Court Board and the Environmental Law Moot Court Team.
Ms. Johnson has practiced family law continuously since joining the bar in 1994. She focuses her practice on complex dissolution of marriage actions, child custody disputes, parenting time issues, child support determination, post-decree issues prenuptial agreements, and appellate work.
Ms. Johnson is very active in the legal community. She is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association and the Louisville Bar Association, having served as the Chair of the Louisville Bar Association’s Family Law Committee. In addition, Ms. Johnson is a frequent speaker at Continuing Legal Education seminars on family law topics.
Ms. Johnson and her husband have a blended family of five amazing daughters. Her interests include social justice, environmental activism, singing and reading.
